For 35 years, Muskoka Seniors has been providing supportive services such as delivering meals, offering transportation, and providing companionship to seniors in our community. With your help, we can extend these services to more seniors across North Muskoka, ensuring they can stay independent, healthy, and connected.
One of Muskoka Seniors most utilized programs is including both hot and frozen meal delivery. Muskoka Seniors delivers over 16,000 meals annually, but the demand continues to exceed current funding. While provincial government support covers approximately 7,300 meals, there’s a gap between the cost of providing meals and what is funded. In 2023, the overall average cost of each meal was $9.65, with client's paying an average of $7.50/meal, creating a $2.15 shortfall per meal.
We rely on the generosity of donors like you to fill this gap and ensure that every senior receives the meals, transportation, and support they need.
To help us continue providing these essential programs, we are asking for a $35 donation—one dollar for every year Muskoka Seniors has served our community.
Your support will help us expand our services, allowing us to reach more seniors across North Muskoka, particularly in rural areas, and ensure they have the meals and connection they need to live independently and healthy.

16 days of hot meals for seniors living in Huntsville, ensuring they stay nourished and independent.
16 frozen meals giving seniors a stocked freezer and access to nutritious food whenever they need it.
Mileage reimbursements to support fuel costs and wear and tear on vehicles of our volunteers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of Meals on Wheels to seniors across North Muskoka.
Expanded services across Muskoka ensuring more seniors, particularly in rural areas, can access the meals and support they need.
